ARTICLES

Glass art reflects well-being

Collecting glass art is often perceived as a niche hobby mastered for a select few. In reality, acquiring handcrafted glass is easier—and more meaningful—than many people think. It’s a personal choice that brings joy to life while supporting the vitality of culture and craftsmanship.

EXHIBITIONS

Shared Glow

PRYKÄRI VINTTIGALLERIA  |  22 NOV 2025 – SPRING 2026

The exhibition brings together art works by international artists who have worked in Nuutajärvi, many of which were created in collaboration with local artisans. The pieces come from the village, the artists, and various collections.

SAT 2 May 2026 | 19–22

The internationally acclaimed Argentine tango singer Martín Alvarado arrives in Finland for a truly unique concert. He has been called the best voice of Buenos Aires and the voice of 21st‑century tango, and for good reason: Alvarado’s warm, expressive tenor and charismatic stage presence make every performance unforgettable.

Alvarado has created highly regarded Spanish‑language versions of beloved Finnish tangos such as “Liljankukka,” “Siks oon mä suruinen,” “Täysikuu,” and “Tähdet meren yllä,” as well as Kirka’s hit “Surun pyyhit silmistäni” and Vesa-Matti Loiri’s classic “Sydämeeni joulun teen.”

The concert features both iconic tango gems and Alvarado’s own interpretations, blending traditional tango with modern influences.

Accompanist Mikko Helenius brings the soul and spirit of tango to the performance with bandoneon and piano.
