Summer 2026 intensive courses announced
Registration for next summer’s glassblowing courses is now open! On the week-long intensive courses, experienced glassmakers from around the world will challenge you to push the boundaries of creativity and technique. The Early Bird offer is valid until the end of February 2026.

The exhibition brings together art works by international artists who have worked in Nuutajärvi, many of which were created in collaboration with local artisans. The pieces come from the village, the artists, and various collections.

With guidance from professional glassmakers, you’ll shape glowing glass and witness how a molten mass transforms into a finished piece of your own creation.
Discover the magic of molten glass and shape your own swan using the traditional pinching technique. Guided by a professional glassblower, you’ll handle glowing glass and witness how a fluid material transforms into a refined form. This hands-on experience leaves a lasting impression—and a beautiful artwork to keep.
*Glass must cool slowly, which is why you won’t be able to take your swan home right away. After cooling, the piece can be shipped (shipping costs covered by the customer).

Step into the histroy of the Glass Village. As your guide shares captivating and curious stories of the village, its people, and its glassmaking heritage, the 230-year-old history of Nuutajärvi comes to life before your eyes.
We’ll explore the past and present of Finland’s oldest glass village—both defined by creativity and international spirit. The walking tour winds through the story-filled village setting, the glassblowing studio, and the open workshops and boutiques of today’s makers.

The beautiful nature of Nuutajärvi has inspired and grounded glassmakers for over two hundred years. Today, its rich forests and scenic lakes offer a wide range of outdoor experiences and activities. You’ll find refreshment at Nuutajärvi’s swimming spot, the Glass Village’s firepit, or the nature observation tower.
We also offer guided nature experiences.
Take a moment by the fire. Enjoy traditional campfire pot coffee and local treats in the calm of the forest.
The shelter and firepit of the Glass Village offer a peaceful setting to pause with friends, family or colleagues—perfect for recharging.
