Shared Glow

The exhibition brings together art works by international artists who have worked in Nuutajärvi, many of which were created in collaboration with local artisans. The pieces come from the village, the artists, and various collections.

Martín Alvarado and the magic of Milonga feat Mikko Helenius

The Argentine tango singer Martín Alvarado arrives in Finland for a truly unique concert. He has been called the best voice of Buenos Aires and the voice of 21st‑century tango — and for good reason: Alvarado’s warm, expressive tenor and charismatic stage presence make every performance unforgettable.

Hot Glass Summer – opening weekend

On the second weekend of June, the beginning of a historic summer is celebrated in Nuutajärvi. In the brand new hotshop, visitors can watch glassblowers shape glowing hot glass in narrated glassblowing demonstrations.

Jesse Kaikuranta

Jesse Kaikuranta captivates his audience with exceptional sensitivity and a serene, unforced voice. Performing solo with only piano accompaniment, his songs unfold just as they were originally created.

Joel Hallikainen

In his life-woven concert, singer-songwriter Joel Hallikainen guides the audience through more than 45 years of music, stories, and moments gathered along the way. The evening features beloved songs from across the decades, as well as rarely performed pieces that have held personal meaning for the artist himself.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
  • The Glass Village is easy to reach by car. The village is located in the middle of forests in Urjala, between Tampere and Turku, and there is plenty of free parking available for visitors.


    By car, the trip takes less than an hour from Tampere, about an hour from Turku, and about two hours from Helsinki or Lahti.

  • Yes. The village’s own Kylähotelli 1793 offers peaceful accommodation right in the heart of the Glass Village. The hotel’s 18 unique rooms open directly into the atmosphere of an 1850s glassworks.

  • Yes, the Glass Village welcomes visitors all year round.

    Outside the summer season, cafés, restaurants, and the museum may operate with reduced opening hours. Up-to-date information can always be found on the Info page.
